We are a global venture company that independently develops the industry’s first IoT and DX solutions to solve the problems and challenges faced by small and medium-sized manufacturers, with the aim of enhancing customer sustainability.

About

alfaTKG was established in March 2014 as a venture company specializing in Manufacturing IoT Systems.

Led by our CEO, Toshiro Takagi, all of our members bring extensive experience in medium and small-scale manufacturing, combined with strong technical expertise in the software and control industries. Leveraging both this knowledge and our international network, we are committed to driving digital transformation for SMEs in manufacturing.

Since its foundation, the company has maintained a development hub in Chennai, India, collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and other leading universities through industry-academia partnerships.

Our flagship product, alfaDOCK, has been widely adopted by many customers. Thanks to this strong support, we have expanded our product lineup and introduced a new generation of solutions.

Details of these new solutions can be experienced firsthand at our Sheet Metal IoT & DX Demonstration Center in Atsugi, Kanagawa, which opened in March 2021.

With our three core bases—Head Office in Nihonbashi, Tokyo (Seminar Room), Atsugi Office (Demonstration Center), and alfaTKG India (Software Development Center)—we remain dedicated to supporting our customers’ DX initiatives and sustainability improvements. Sheet Metal IoT

Our “Sheet Metal IoT.” is a unique total solution system that solves issues and reforms operations of small and mid-sized manufacturing companies by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as RPA and artificial intelligence.

It is the industry’s first IoT solution implementation support to improve productivity by visualizing manufacturing sites, standardizing operations, ensuring work safety, and effectively utilizing customer-owned assets.

In addition, by centrally managing the information collected by managers through a cloud system, innovative IT strategies can be implemented through the synergistic effects of visualization and efficiency.

Founder and Representative Director

Toshiro Takagi was born in Nagano, Japan in 1953. After graduating from the University of Electro-Communications in 1977, he joined Amada Co., Ltd., where he built an extensive career in the sheet metal industry. Over the years, he held key leadership positions including Head of Sales Division, Head of Overseas Business Division, and served as CEO of Amada America and Amada Europe. He later became Senior Managing Director of Amada before retiring in 2014.

That same year, Mr. Takagi founded alfaTKG Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, as well as alfaTKG India, establishing a strong foundation for global collaboration and innovation. With decades of international experience and deep expertise in manufacturing solutions, he continues to drive alfaTKG’s mission of supporting digital transformation and sustainability in the sheet metal industry

 

Dr. Thanapandi Periasamy

CTO and Director

Ph.D. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, with 25 years at Amada. He leads AlfaTKG’s core technologies in IoT, AI, and RPA, driving smart factory solutions for global sheet metal industries.
